We started celebrating Christmas the day before and opened our last red and white striped packages the day after. Andrew, Anna, HattieJo, and A.P. arrived in town Christmas evening and we got together for lunch on the day after. We ate ribs, exchanged gifts, and had a huge nerf sword war!
After the kids took a rest we headed out to the Winter Wonderland. We have been wanting to go to this for several years…a couple of years ago we even made it half way there before car sickness struck x 2 and we had to turn around and come back home.
We made it all the way this time though. The plan was made for us to tailgate before we went in and tailgate in the parking lot we did. Complete with a 1.5 liter dr. pepper for Andrew and Pepsi for Mike because Poppa Hoppa couldn’t bring himself to pay more for a smaller drink.
The kids ate lunchables in the van then we made a beeline for the elf village for the “snowfall”. Only in Florida would a huge crowd of people bunch up into an elf village for a scheduled “snowfall”. Once we saw it Tyler declared it soap bubbles instead of snow and I think he was right. ![]()

HattieJo loved seeing the horses and the kiddos (except AP) all rode the train with Andrew, Gigi, and Poppa.
We finished up the night with a shooting game and all headed home happy and tired!
