We started our Christmas celebrating on Christmas Eve with breakfast and gifts at my parent’s house. It was a wonderful relaxed morning, the boys even wore their pjs.
or they mostly wore their pjs…Tyler is in a stage (I really really hope this is just a stage…and a short one!) where every single thing he puts he immediately rips off and screams that it is “itchy”. He goes shirtless or wears one Tom and Jerry t shirt at home, but getting dressed for school has been quite a challenge recently…alright, back to Christmas!
We were all spoiled rotten by my parents and after all that opening and playing with the new gifts Ryan fell asleep in the car on the way home…and stayed asleep standing up with his head in his chair after we got home!
I am a picture taking failure when it comes to our annual Christmas Eve party. I don’t even have one single shot! We ate (and ate and ate) and sang our 12 days of Christmas and other assorted Christmas Favorites!
The boys opened their Christmas pjs and slippers and we put them on and tucked them in bed as the guests were all leaving. I came back downstairs and realized that I had baked cookies for Santa but we hadn’t gotten around to decorating them or sprinkling our reindeer treats in the driveway. The little was already asleep but the bigs were too excited to sleep so I got them back up to decorate. I believe they called me crazy when I told them to get up out of bed but it was fun to have a few more minutes with them before bed. (Black was the only color icing I had in a tube in the pantry wo we went with it…maybe the sprinkles helped to make it a little more festive?) 
Before long we were all tucked in with high hopes that we had done enough to make the Nice List!
